Communications Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Communications Assistant to develop and maintain communications products focused on food security and early warning topics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain communications synthesis documents and public messaging media content
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible communications products
• Coordinate campaigns including email blasts, press releases, and social media engagements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, computer science, data analytics, international development, or related field
• Two to three years of relevant work experience in communications practices
• Experience with social media tools such as Hootsuite, Twitter, and Facebook
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and Photoshop
• Background in international development is a plus but not required
