Communications Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Communications and Advocacy Consultant for the Economic and Social Policy Global Practice, based remotely in Nairobi, Kenya for an 11-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance external visibility and policy positioning across digital, media, and advocacy platforms
• Ensure coherent communication across global, regional, and country office levels
• Translate technical content into impactful advocacy and communication products

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, development economics, public policy, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in communications, advocacy, or public affairs
• Strong understanding of child poverty, social protection, finance for children, youth livelihoods, and cash-based assistance
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is preferred
• Experience in developing communication and social media packages
