Communications Coordinator

Job Summary

Supporting the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) program, the full-time Communications Coordinator will develop and deliver engaging communications for diverse stakeholders, translating complex healthcare and policy information into accessible formats while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Research and synthesize scientific and policy information into audience-appropriate communication products
• Create a variety of communication materials, including newsletters, web content, and social media posts, ensuring alignment with program goals
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure scientific accuracy and clarity in communications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience; advanced degree or professional designation preferred
• Experience in developing tailored internal and external communications materials
• Ability to analyze accessibility and usability of communication platforms
• Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams and managing public relations strategies
• Strong judgment and initiative in addressing complex communication challenges
