Job Summary

A company is looking for a Communications Manager to build a communications function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute the communications calendar across various platforms, including performance tracking
• Collaborate with teams to create and publish long-form content that conveys insights and stories
• Maintain and improve website content to ensure accuracy and alignment with messaging

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in communications, content strategy, or editorial roles, preferably in government technology or civic tech
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong portfolio
• Proven ability to work across disciplines to extract and shape stories
• Self-directed and organized, capable of managing an editorial calendar and multiple content streams
