Communications Manager

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and passionate about hockey, the remote Communications Manager will manage daily roster operations, produce media-ready content under tight deadlines, and serve as the authoritative source for roster information while ensuring accuracy for internal stakeholders and media.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily roster operations, tracking and verifying player transactions, injury status, and updates in coordination with Hockey Operations and teams
• Develop pregame and postgame materials, including game notes and storylines, delivering media-ready content promptly
• Maintain and improve core media resources, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to internal teams, media, and broadcast partners

Required qualifications

• 4-6+ years of experience in sports communications, media relations, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of hockey, including rosters, rules, and statistics
• Proven experience writing for media, including game notes and recaps in a professional environment
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage and maintain highly accurate, real-time information
• Experience managing digital content, including website updates and/or database systems
