Job Summary
To support a federal health agency's workforce development division, the full-time remote Communications Specialist will manage multiple content workstreams, develop health communication materials, and contribute to digital channel management and communication strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, draft, and edit a variety of health communication content including web copy, social media posts, and presentations
- Support digital channel management and coordinate across multiple communication platforms for audience engagement
- Compile and analyze communication metrics to translate data into actionable insights and summary reports
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, journalism, marketing, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in strategic communications or health communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams and PowerPoint
- Experience with social media management and digital analytics tools
- Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements and WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards
