Community Editor & Strategist
Job Summary
To support a growing creator ecosystem, the contract Community Editor & Strategist will edit user-generated content, provide feedback to creators, and foster an engaged community in a remote-friendly environment.
Key responsibilities
- Edit submissions from the BuzzFeed Community Creator Program to ensure quality and adherence to editorial standards
- Provide thoughtful editorial feedback and coaching to Community Creators to enhance their content
- Engage with contributors in the community to foster a welcoming environment and encourage participation
Required qualifications
- A deep love for internet culture, fandom, and online communities
- Experience building relationships with online communities or creators
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Previous experience editing user-generated or creator-produced content is a plus
