Community Engagement Lead

Job Summary

To strengthen community trust and collaboration, the full-time remote Community Engagement Lead will design and implement strategic engagement programs while guiding a team of professionals and working cross-functionally with various internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute community outreach and stakeholder management strategies throughout project lifecycles
• Cultivate long-term relationships with local officials and community stakeholders, representing the organization at public events
• Partner with internal teams to align community insights with project execution and mitigate local risks

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public affairs, communications, environmental studies, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in public affairs, communications, or community engagement within utility-scale power or energy infrastructure
• 3+ years of experience managing direct reports and developing high-performing teams
• Demonstrated experience with Texas projects and familiarity with rural community dynamics
• Proficiency in stakeholder analysis and mapping tools to assess local impact and risks
