Job Summary

Assisting individuals in need, the full-time or part-time Community Resource Specialist will answer calls on the 211 information and resource hotline, connecting callers to essential health and human services while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and inquiries, assessing the needs of callers and providing appropriate resources
  • Document interactions and maintain accurate records of calls and referrals
  • Provide compassionate support to individuals in crisis, going beyond basic referrals to offer advocacy assistance
Required qualifications
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments and make effective referrals using crisis intervention skills
  • Must obtain an Inform CRS Certification within 365 days of acceptance of position
  • Experience using computerized information management systems for documenting call information
  • Understanding of confidentiality standards and ability to practice them
  • Availability to work shifts in a 24/7/365 environment, including weekends and holidays
