Job Summary
Assisting individuals in need, the full-time or part-time Community Resource Specialist will answer calls on the 211 information and resource hotline, connecting callers to essential health and human services while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and inquiries, assessing the needs of callers and providing appropriate resources
- Document interactions and maintain accurate records of calls and referrals
- Provide compassionate support to individuals in crisis, going beyond basic referrals to offer advocacy assistance
Required qualifications
- Ability to conduct needs assessments and make effective referrals using crisis intervention skills
- Must obtain an Inform CRS Certification within 365 days of acceptance of position
- Experience using computerized information management systems for documenting call information
- Understanding of confidentiality standards and ability to practice them
- Availability to work shifts in a 24/7/365 environment, including weekends and holidays
