Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time or part-time Community Resource Specialist with CRS Certification will assist individuals in need by answering calls on the 211 information and resource hotline, connecting them to essential health and human services while providing compassionate customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and inquiries from the public, assessing needs and providing appropriate resources
- Document interactions and maintain accurate records of calls and referrals to facilitate follow-up
- Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while demonstrating empathy and active listening skills to callers in crisis
Required qualifications
- MUST obtain an Inform CRS Certification within 90 days of acceptance of position
- Ability to conduct needs assessments and make effective referrals using active listening and crisis intervention skills
- Experience with computerized information management systems for documenting call information
- Understanding of confidentiality standards and the ability to practice them
- Availability to work shifts in a 24/7/365 environment, including weekends and holidays as needed
