Job Summary
Community Solar Project Director leads the full lifecycle of community solar project development in a full-time, salaried role, focusing on project origination through notice to proceed while managing resources and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of community solar project development, from site selection through interconnection, permitting, and NTP
- Manage internal and external resources across engineering, interconnection, policy, legal, and community engagement
- Oversee local permitting processes and maintain strong relationships with AHJs, utilities, and community stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in community solar regulations and permitting
- Strong track record of driving cross-functional progress in dynamic environments
- Experience in managing stakeholder engagement and community relations
- Understanding of utility structures and evolving regulatory frameworks in key markets
- Experience in project strategy and timeline management to meet goals and deadlines
