Compact Licensed Triage Nurse

Job Summary

To support afterhours hospice care, the part-time hourly Compact Licensed Triage Nurse will assess patient needs telephonically, provide education and support, and collaborate with healthcare providers in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assesses physical, environmental, and emotional factors to determine hospice needs via telephone
• Utilizes electronic health records to develop recommendations and provide patient education based on care plans
• Collaborates with pharmacies and other agencies to manage patient care effectively

Required qualifications

• Current, unencumbered registered nurse license in the assigned state
• One year of experience as a registered nurse
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of the needs of terminally ill patients and their caregivers
• Willingness to obtain additional RN licenses in other states
