Compact Licensed Triage Nurse

Job Summary

Offering a part-time hourly opportunity, the Compact Licensed Triage Nurse will assess hospice needs, provide telephonic support and education, and collaborate with healthcare partners while working remotely for 30-32 hours per week, including required weekend daytime hours.

Key responsibilities

• Assesses physical, environmental, and emotional factors to determine hospice needs telephonically
• Utilizes electronic health records to develop recommendations based on the patient's plan of care
• Collaborates with pharmacies and other agencies for effective patient management and assigns visits to on-call field staff as needed

Required qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the assigned state
• One year of experience as a registered nurse
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of the needs of terminally ill patients and their caregivers
• Willingness to obtain additional RN licenses in other states
