Compact Licensed Triage Nurse

Job Summary

To support after-hours hospice care, the part-time Compact Licensed Triage Nurse will assess patient needs telephonically, provide education and recommendations based on care plans, and collaborate with healthcare providers, all while working remotely for 30-32 hours a week.

Key responsibilities

• Assesses physical, environmental, and emotional factors to determine hospice needs
• Utilizes electronic health records to develop recommendations and provide patient education
• Collaborates with pharmacies and other agencies for effective patient management and assigns visits to on-call staff

Required qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the assigned state
• One year of experience as a registered nurse
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of the needs of terminally ill patients and their caregivers
• Willingness to obtain additional RN licenses in other states
