Job Summary
To support a client's team in Rockaway, New Jersey, the contract Compensation and Benefits Specialist will manage workers' compensation audits, investigate discrepancies in payroll and benefits data, and partner with HR to enhance compliance and accuracy in compensation processes.
Key responsibilities
- Review workers' compensation audit materials and payroll information for accuracy
- Investigate and recommend corrections for discrepancies in compensation and benefits records
- Support benefits administration and prepare summaries of findings for leadership
Required qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience in HR, compensation and benefits, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with workers' compensation processes and audits
- Strong ability to interpret payroll data and identify inaccuracies
- Working knowledge of benefits administration and FMLA-related processes
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment
