Job Summary

Managing complex insurance claims related to environmental damage, the full-time Complex Claims Manager will investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims while ensuring compliance with regulations and collaborating with underwriting on strategic initiatives in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate environmental claims and assess liability by gathering incident information and conducting site assessments
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and manage legal defense strategies in coordination with legal counsel
• Oversee a portfolio of claims, prioritizing critical cases and providing insights for risk management and marketing strategies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing complex insurance claims
• Extensive knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance standards
• Proven negotiation skills for reaching favorable settlements
• Understanding of legal principles related to environmental liability and insurance coverage
