Compliance Director

Job Summary

As a hands-on leader, the full-time remote Compliance Director will build and manage day-to-day compliance operations, overseeing regulatory compliance areas such as identity verification, transaction monitoring, and disaster recovery while supporting the Compliance Officer in audits and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee KYC/KYB processes and manage the compliance team, ensuring effective identity verification and transaction monitoring
• Maintain and update compliance policies, conduct risk assessments, and develop control mappings to align with regulatory requirements
• Participate in internal risk committee discussions and contribute to decisions regarding customer terminations and emerging risk areas

Required qualifications

• Experience managing or scaling a compliance operations team
• Deep familiarity with KYC, KYB, BSA/AML, and vendor risk management programs
• Proven experience leading audits and regulatory examinations in a fintech or banking environment
• CAMS or equivalent compliance certification
• Experience with compliance and risk tools such as Alloy, Oscilar, or Unit21
