Compliance Director

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the full-time remote Compliance Director will manage the compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulations while advising on privacy and security considerations across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enforce the compliance program, including policy development, monitoring, and reporting on federal, state, and local regulations
• Maintain SOC 2 attestation and manage customer and partner IT/security assessments, collaborating with Engineering/IT for technical implementation
• Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from customers and partners, providing guidance and training to internal teams on data-sharing issues

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compliance, privacy, or commercial regulatory roles, preferably in biopharma or pharma-services
• Expert knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, and CCPA/CPRA, with familiarity in GDPR and relevant industry codes
• Proven experience managing SOC 2 attestations and third-party/data use agreements
• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong analytical skills and project management ability in a fast-paced environment
