Compliance HIM Specialist
Job Summary
Detail-oriented and organized, the full-time Compliance HIM Specialist will support the Compliance team with medical record retrieval, EMR access coordination, and administrative support for compliance medical audits in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Retrieve patient medical records to support Compliance Medical Auditors
- Coordinate hospital EMR access requests for Compliance Medical Auditor staff
- Assist with medical records administrative duties, audit preparation, and system testing
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of six months of medical office or healthcare setting experience required
- Knowledge of hospital EMR record retrieval processes
- Preference for Medical Terminology Certification, MRT certification, or CBCS Certification
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
