Compliance Lead
Job Summary
Serving as the primary compliance point of contact for Shopify's key banking partner relationships, the full-time remote Compliance Lead will manage compliance obligations, execute core program activities, and develop resources to enhance compliance across financial products.
Key responsibilities
- Manage compliance obligations and maintain strong partnerships with key banking partners
- Lead core Compliance Program activities, including testing, monitoring, reporting, and audits
- Develop playbooks and policies to support compliance, sanctions, and AML programs
Required qualifications
- Deep experience in building and executing compliance programs, preferably in a FinTech environment
- Proven track record in managing external relationships with financial partners and regulators
- Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, and sanctions compliance frameworks
- Experience with lending compliance and consumer protection regulations is a plus
- Hands-on experience with AI or automation tools to improve compliance workflows
