Computational Biologist

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic Bioinformatics and Data Science team, the full-time remote Computational Biologist will collaborate with cross-functional experts to analyze genomic sequencing data, contribute to database design, and develop clinical reports in support of precision oncology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to cultivate ideas and achieve project goals
• Interface with various stakeholders to ensure accurate data loading into processing infrastructure
• Evaluate genomic sequencing data and contribute to the design of databases and user-facing websites

Required qualifications

• An advanced degree in Biology, Genetics, Immunology/Cancer Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field (PhD preferred)
• A minimum of six years of paid work or research experience in relevant fields
• Understanding of NGS sequencing analysis methods and pipelines
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and/or R
• Familiarity with genomic data formats and bioinformatics tools
