Computational Chemist

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Computational Chemist for a full-time remote opportunity to apply advanced ligand and structure-based techniques in drug discovery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive therapeutic development.

Key responsibilities

• Apply ligand and structure-based approaches across hit identification, hit to lead, and lead optimization phases
• Guide design cycles by integrating computational predictions with bioactivity data and identifying structure-activity relationships
• Collaborate with medicinal chemists and machine learning scientists to design virtual libraries and enhance drug discovery workflows

Required qualifications

• PhD or equivalent degree in computational chemistry (or related field) with 2+ years of relevant experience in drug discovery
• Experience supporting active small molecule drug discovery programs
• Proficiency in Python for scientific computing and computational workflow development
• Familiarity with ligand and structure-based design tools
• Excellent ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences
