Computational Chemistry Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Scientist, Computational Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, validate, and benchmark computational chemistry methods, including binding free energy calculations and molecular dynamics methods
• Develop and maintain free energy calculation deployment code and database with cloud capabilities
• Apply established methods to drug discovery projects, analyzing data and providing insights for molecular design

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS/Ph.D. in computational chemistry, theoretical chemistry, chemical physics, biophysics, or a related field
• Experience with molecular dynamics and free energy simulations, and quantum chemistry methods
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, workflow automation, and cloud deployment
• Strong understanding of physical principles related to molecular interactions and thermodynamics
• 1-3 years of experience as a computational chemist in the biopharma industry or relevant post-doc is preferred
