Computational Linguist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Computational Linguist will contribute to the development of AI-powered language learning features by designing prompts, evaluating existing content, and implementing benchmarking systems to enhance the learning experience for over 120 million users.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Learning Designers and AI Engineers to create prompts for AI-driven features
• Evaluate and iterate on existing prompts to ensure quality and effectiveness
• Develop and maintain robust evaluation processes for new languages and feature prompts

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in computational linguistics, applied linguistics, cognitive science, or natural language processing
• Proficiency (C1) in either French, Spanish, or German
• Solid understanding of core linguistics subfields and second language acquisition principles
• Deep knowledge of language systems and data-driven decision-making
• C2 level proficiency in English
