Job Summary
A company is looking for a Computational Scientist: Human Genetics.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists to analyze large datasets of genetic, genomic, and clinical data
- Develop analytical approaches to integrate and interpret data, providing insights into disease biology
- Document processes, findings, and code, and present findings to the department and collaborators
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in large-scale genetic/genomic data analysis
- PhD (or Masters with significant experience) in a relevant field such as Statistical Genetics or Computational Biology
- Fluency in R, Python, and shell scripting; familiarity with C++ is a plus
- Experience with git and high-performance computing
- Ability to produce high-quality analysis results with minimal supervision
