Job Summary

To support advanced reactor core methodology development, the full-time contract Computational Thermal Hydraulics Analyst will conduct computational analysis, perform code benchmarking, and integrate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct computational analysis of in-core steady-state thermal hydraulic phenomena
  • Perform code benchmarking and validation analyses to support code qualification and methodology development
  • Integrate with other engineering groups performing aspects of component, system, fuel, and control system analysis
Required qualifications
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or relevant technical Engineering area from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal hydraulic analysis with a B.S. degree, or 6+ years with an M.S., or 3+ years with a Ph.D
  • 6+ years' experience in Nuclear Systems Thermal-Hydraulic behavior and analyses, with preference for 1D modeling
  • Demonstrated expertise with CAD modeling tools; SolidWorks preferred
  • Proficiency with a modern CFD tool; STAR-CCM+ knowledge preferred
