Computer Scientist

Job Summary

Independently providing support services, the full-time remote Computer Scientist will perform software development, design and maintain informatics infrastructure, and collaborate with engineers and scientists to achieve operational objectives for the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).

Key responsibilities

• Perform software development including subsystem interface specifications and software modeling
• Design and maintain a robust informatics infrastructure for data collection from automated high-throughput screens
• Collaborate with biologists and chemists to analyze data and conduct studies of integrated computerized information systems

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or a related field
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in computer science or a related field
• Extensive experience with one or more programming languages
• Expertise in theoretical computing, including algorithms and data structures
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD public trust clearance
