Computer Scientist

Job Summary

To support the operational objectives of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, the full-time remote Computer Scientist will perform software development, design informatics infrastructure, and collaborate with engineers and scientists on various projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform software development including subsystem interface specifications and software modeling
• Design and maintain a robust informatics infrastructure for data collection from automated high-throughput screens
• Collaborate with biologists and chemists to analyze data from assays and screens

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or related field
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in computer science or a related field
• Extensive experience with one or more programming languages
• Expertise in theoretical computing, including algorithm and data structure development
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust.
