Job Summary
To provide exceptional customer service in a remote environment, the full-time Concierge Customer Service Representative will manage inquiries related to health benefits, assist members and providers, and handle precertification calls while maintaining accurate documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards
- Negotiate with providers regarding plans without network agreements and assist members with healthcare questions
- Document all interactions in the system-based call log and manage incoming and outgoing calls related to precertification
Required qualifications
- Minimum of two years of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role
- Associate degree or higher preferred; minimum high school diploma or GED required
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and provider organizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and strong computer skills
- Experience with insurance verification or precertification preferred
