Condo Underwriter

Job Summary

Responsible for reviewing documentation for condominium and cooperative projects, the full-time remote Condo Underwriter will ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelines from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA while managing project files and delivering excellent customer service to Sales and Operations staff.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely underwriting of condominium and cooperative projects
• Maintain and manage approved and declined project lists, including expiration dates
• Perform legal reviews and determine project eligibility based on financials and guidelines

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of project review experience
• 5+ years of experience with mortgage credit guidelines and policies
• 5 years of experience with FNMA, Freddie Mac, and FHA underwriting guidelines
• Experience with investor guidelines
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and documentation requirements
