Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Configuration Management Specialist will manage technical documentation, configuration management, and change management support for cybersecurity projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and compliant documentation throughout the system lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and publish technical documentation supporting cybersecurity architecture and engineering activities
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects system configurations and operational processes
- Maintain configuration management processes and a centralized Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to track configuration items and changes
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in Configuration Management or Technical Editing at a large corporation or government agency
- A Master's degree in a related IT field may substitute for up to 2 years of required experience
- Expertise in configuration management, change management, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks
- Proven experience in maintaining configuration items, documentation, and compliance with government standards
- Experience working in project-oriented environments, understanding the role of configuration management within project lifecycles
