Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder 2 Certified / HIM Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews inpatient clinical documentation to assign diagnosis and procedure codes
• Codes high dollar and complex accounts, ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and standards
• Collaborates with clinical documentation specialists and other departments for compliance and reimbursement purposes

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
• Two to three years of experience in an acute care hospital
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding
• Familiarity with various DRG methodologies and IP Rehabilitation coding rules
