Job Summary
To support patient registration processes, the full-time remote Connecticut Licensed Account Assistant will manage patient financial classifications, ensure accurate billing, and provide customer service to patients, providers, and insurance carriers.
Key responsibilities
- Receives, classifies, and codes patient information while ensuring account records are accurate and complete
- Obtains and provides information related to accounts and procedures, maintaining and reconciling account records
- Reviews and posts payments, identifies errors, and composes correspondence related to problem accounts
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years in a similar role, or an Associate's degree with two years of experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance processing and verification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong customer service skills with experience in handling heavy telephone communication
- Record of excellent attendance and time management skills
