Job Summary
Supporting the Patient Services Call Center, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Account Assistant will manage high-volume incoming calls, research and resolve patient accounts using EPIC, and perform administrative functions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a principal source of information on University accounts receivable rules and procedures
- Oversee maintenance of account files and review payment histories for accuracy
- Resolve problems and delinquent accounts, assisting with final reviews and dispositions
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, with two years in the same job family at the next lower level, or an Associate's degree with two years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability using computerized database systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of medical insurance processing and verification
- Proficiency in providing superior customer service in a high-volume call center environment
- Some familiarity with medical coding systems such as CPT4 and ICD9-CM/ICD10-CM preferred
