Job Summary
Providing clinical and administrative support for the Digestive Diseases department, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Administrative Assistant will coordinate surgical scheduling, manage patient paperwork, and maintain organized surgical schedules using the EPIC system, all while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Oversees and coordinates administrative functions, including scheduling surgeries and maintaining surgical schedules for surgeons
- Acts as the primary source of information regarding policies, procedures, and office activities for staff and patients
- Handles patient communications, including greeting visitors and responding to inquiries, while ensuring confidentiality and superior customer service
Required qualifications
- Six years of related work experience, including four years in a similar role, or an Associate's degree with relevant experience
- Proven proficiency in scheduling surgical appointments within a clinical environment
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Outlook and EPIC systems
- Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and work cooperatively in a changing environment
