Job Summary
To support healthcare organizations in Connecticut, the part-time Associate Medical Director will evaluate medical services and treatment plans for addiction psychiatry, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and health plan policies while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in meetings with regional healthcare providers, clinics, hospitals, and community care systems across rural Connecticut
- Collaborate with internal departments to analyze healthcare utilization trends and develop actionable improvement strategies
- Support clinicians with timely service authorizations and assist in evaluating clinical criteria and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certified in General Psychiatry by the ABMS or AOA
- Clinical experience in addiction psychiatry or treatment of substance use disorders
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Connecticut
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
