Job Summary

To support healthcare organizations in Connecticut, the part-time Associate Medical Director will evaluate medical services and treatment plans for addiction psychiatry, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and health plan policies while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings with regional healthcare providers, clinics, hospitals, and community care systems across rural Connecticut
  • Collaborate with internal departments to analyze healthcare utilization trends and develop actionable improvement strategies
  • Support clinicians with timely service authorizations and assist in evaluating clinical criteria and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certified in General Psychiatry by the ABMS or AOA
  • Clinical experience in addiction psychiatry or treatment of substance use disorders
  • Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Connecticut
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
