Connecticut Licensed Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Centralized Billing Specialist, Full Time, In-Person or Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of billing for Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health claims
• Enter codes and reconcile charges accurately and timely
• Verify commercial insurance eligibility and maintain confidentiality of PHI

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare billing and coding
• AAPC/AHIMA certification; Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coding (COC)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and electronic email systems
• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, Medicare and Medicaid billing rules
• Associates degree in Health Information Management Systems or related field preferred
