Job Summary
To support a growing dermatology practice, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Clinical Scheduler will manage a high volume of patient scheduling, provide administrative support, and ensure effective communication with patients and providers, all while working remotely after an initial training period on-site.
Key responsibilities
- Answers incoming calls, assesses urgency, and directs inquiries to appropriate personnel while providing specialized information related to policies, procedures, and services
- Schedules patient appointments, resolves conflicts, and notifies patients of changes, while maintaining accurate patient records and managing clinic calendars
- Coordinates surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and departmental meetings, ensuring all necessary paperwork and instructions are provided to patients
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, with two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of related experience
- Proficiency in EPIC or similar EMR systems for scheduling and patient information management
- Demonstrated experience in surgical scheduling and excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and listening skills, with professional telephone etiquette
