Job Summary
Providing comprehensive clinical scheduling and high-level administrative support, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Clinical Secretary will manage a high volume of calls and faxes, direct inquiries, and ensure patient records are maintained accurately while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answers telephone calls, assesses urgency, and directs callers to appropriate personnel while providing assistance to other receptionists
- Schedules patient appointments, resolves scheduling conflicts, and notifies patients of changes or cancellations
- Maintains accurate patient records, verifies insurance information, and initiates the billing process for services rendered
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of experience
- Proficiency in EPIC or similar EMR systems for scheduling and patient information management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Ability to use sound independent judgment and critical thinking in managing patient interactions
