Job Summary
To enhance revenue cycle management for Yale Medicine, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Clinical Specialist will provide ongoing analysis, operational improvement advice, and education on billing and coding issues while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Regularly review billing activity and provide detailed summaries of findings to administration and clinical staff
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize provider reimbursement and enhance operational efficiency
- Lead reimbursement projects and perform coding audits to ensure compliance with regulations and improve collections
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or RN with four years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding, as well as medical terminology
- Experience with Epic Practice Management System and EMR
- Ability to analyze detailed reports and monitor key performance indicators for revenue cycle management
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with clinical departments and staff
