Job Summary
Managing compliance education initiatives, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Compliance Educator will develop training programs focused on coding, documentation, and billing requirements while ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and monitor technology needs and system requirements for assigned departments
- Coordinate training sessions for new policies or practices within the departments
- Ensure compliance with University and federal regulations applicable to assigned departments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience
- Licensure as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is required
- Thorough understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and coding, with demonstrated experience in provider coding (CPT and ICD-9/ICD-10)
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare management, particularly Medicare billing guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; preferred experience with EPIC, MD Audit, and ComplyTrack software
