Job Summary
Focused on trading and quantitative analysis, the full-time hybrid Connecticut Licensed Derivatives Trader will execute derivative trades, develop trading tools, and manage reporting processes within the investment management department.
Key responsibilities
- Execute derivative trades in cleared and bilateral markets, ensuring compliance with approved programs
- Conduct analytical work on derivative assets and insurance liabilities, utilizing programming skills for trading and risk analysis
- Develop and maintain reporting processes and systems for P&L, risk reporting, and transaction cost analysis using tools like PowerBI and SQL
Required qualifications
- B.S. degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering
- 5+ years of experience in derivatives trading and analysis, particularly in insurance or asset management
- Advanced coding skills in Python, VBA, and SQL, with a focus on automation and maintenance of trading tools
- Strong understanding of derivatives pricing, hedging techniques, and familiarity with index-linked insurance products
- Ability to manage multiple trade requests in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
