Job Summary

A company is looking for an Emergency Department Facility Coder (temp).

Key Responsibilities
  • Code all diseases in the Emergency Department according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 standards
  • Stay updated on coding policies and procedures, ensuring understanding of any changes
  • Discuss unclear information with supervisors to maintain coding accuracy and compliance
Required Qualifications
  • AHIMA: RHIT, RHIA, CCS credentials required; AAPC credentials may be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Facility Emergency Department coding experience
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 outpatient coding principles
  • Ability to maintain productivity levels and accuracy as per client policies
  • Availability to work part-time hours between 6a-6:30p Pacific time, Monday to Friday
