Job Summary
A company is looking for an Emergency Department Facility Coder (temp).
Key Responsibilities
- Coding all diseases in the Emergency Department according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 standards
- Staying updated on coding policies and procedures while ensuring understanding of any changes
- Maintaining production minimums and discussing any unclear information with supervisors
Required Qualifications
- AHIMA credentials (RHIT, RHIA, CCS) required; AAPC credentials may be considered
- Minimum of 3 years recent Facility Emergency Department coding experience
- Knowledge of ICD-10 outpatient coding principles
- Ability to maintain accuracy and productivity levels as per client policies
- Willingness to work part-time hours between 6a-6:30p Pacific time, Monday to Friday
