Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs all aspects of accounts receivable collection and reprocessing of claims
• Audits and resolves accounts with outstanding balances and credit balances
• Posts payments and adjustments, and assists with special projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Health Information Management Systems (or related field) with 1+ years' experience in a healthcare billing and collections office, or Coding Certification/Billing Certificate Program with 2 years' experience
• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Codes, Medicare and Medicaid billing rules
• Understanding of insurance reimbursement methods and the claims appeal process
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
