Job Summary
To support patient referral processes, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Referral Specialist will coordinate and schedule patient ambulatory referrals, serve as the main contact for new patient referrals, and provide scheduling information to patients and referring providers, all while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinates and oversees the scheduling of patient referrals for specific specialties
- Acts as the principal source of information regarding scheduling policies and procedures for patients and referring providers
- Manages incoming referrals and ensures effective communication with all stakeholders involved in patient care
Required qualifications
- Six years of related work experience, with at least four years in a similar role, or an Associate's degree with relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
- Proven ability to handle high call volumes in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient information
- Competency in English language and medical terminology
