Job Summary
Providing comprehensive clinical ambulatory scheduling for providers, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Scheduler will critically evaluate scheduling requests, manage appointment conflicts, and ensure excellent service to patients and providers while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answers phone calls, assesses urgency, and directs callers to appropriate resources while providing specialized information about services and policies
- Builds and modifies provider master schedules, schedules patient appointments, and resolves scheduling conflicts, including coordinating surgical procedures
- Utilizes the EPIC scheduling system to manage patient information, track referrals, and generate reports while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, with at least two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressures
- Competency in English language, grammar, and medical terminology for accurate data entry and communication
- Demonstrated reliability with a proven record of exemplary attendance and punctuality
