Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Scheduler will manage comprehensive clinical ambulatory scheduling for providers using the EPIC system, ensuring prompt and courteous service to patients and referring providers while working remotely from Connecticut.
Key responsibilities
- Answers calls to assess urgency, provides assistance, and directs callers to the appropriate resources
- Schedules patient appointments, resolves conflicts, and notifies patients of changes or cancellations
- Builds and modifies provider schedules, coordinates surgical procedures, and manages departmental meetings and classes
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years in the same job family at a lower level, or an Associate degree with two years of experience
- Proven experience in a high-volume healthcare scheduling environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Competence in using electronic medical record systems and multi-line telephones
- Ability to handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
