Connecticut Licensed Underwriter
Job Summary
To support a growing commercial lines division, the remote Connecticut Licensed Underwriter will evaluate risk applications, determine pricing, and manage portfolio profitability while collaborating with Retail Agents.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate new and renewal submissions from Retail Agents for underwriting acceptability and pricing determinations
- Manage the overall risk portfolio and profitability through rigorous evaluation of individual risks and pricing elements
- Prepare premium quotations and engage with agents to close transactions
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Insurance, Underwriting, MGA, or program business experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Lines insurance coverage forms and their application
- Working knowledge of applicable Insurance Department regulations and policies
- Valid Producer's License in home state
- 5+ years of Commercial Line Underwriting Experience preferred
