Job Summary
Evaluating risks for various commercial insurance policies, the full-time Connecticut Licensed Underwriter will underwrite and manage new and renewal accounts while working in a hybrid environment in Stamford, CT.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage new and renewal Commercial Property & Casualty accounts within assigned authority
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers while providing responsive underwriting support
- Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and participate in process improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of Commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and underwriting principles
- Proficiency in internet research and risk evaluation tools
- CPCU, AU, ARM, or other insurance designations preferred
